From Santa Claus' chill spot, to bizarre sculpture gardens, these are 12 Strange Places Found in Finland ! Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 6. Moomin World So if you come to Finland and you really aren’t too familiar with the Moomin Books written by the Swedish author Tove Jansson and stumbled upon this theme park, you might think you lost your mind! This wacky place, located in Naantali, Finland on an island, it’s not your average amusement park. It doesn’t have any rides, it’s just sort of a fantasy playground for kids. You’ll definitely come across some strange characters like Hemulen, like we see in this photo, this witch woman, or Sniff the dog. The main character seems to be this giant white hippopotamus thing which can be seen throughout the park. If any of our Fin...

NCC offer attractive offices and workplaces that build people, brands and profitability. But what makes an attractive office? The answer varies depending on the employer and the employees. In this film, we therefore play with the idea that an employer’s vision is not always reflected in the workplace and how a dull and uninspiring environment can have a negative impact on people. Do you have an office that fits your company's vision? http://www.ncc.fi/office https://www.facebook.com/ncc.fi https://twitter.com/NCCyhtiot https://www.linkedin.com/company/ncc

From Kamppi To Eternity 1080D From kamppi to eternity is a normal movie about normal people with normal music on top. It's a visual poem about colleagues and the relationship between two offices. It's about infernal waiting and suspense. It's about winning and losing. It's about society and culture. It's a celebration of life. From kamppi to eternity is about humanity.

Finland is a land of a thousand lakes and eternal forests, a land of log cabins and Orthodox churches - a midsummer’s dream in the extreme north of Europe.Helsinki, ‘The Daughter of the Baltic’, ‘The Gibraltar of the North’, a dividing line between east and west and a modern and liberal minded metropolis. In search for the best winter spots Kristin & I went on a road trip through Lapland in Finland and checked out all the things to do in Lapland and it was magical! More info: http://www.bemytravelmuse.com/things-to-do-in-lapland/ I know it took a while to finish editing this video as I had to struggle with the 4k video data I got from my new toy: the drone. I'm now able to shoot lovely aerial footage to give you an even broader picture of the destination. Our trip to finnish Lapland started in Rovaniemi with the visit of the Santa Claus village where we said hi to Santa himself and had some fun tubing and drinking at the ice bar in Snowman World. Snowmobiling was a great way to start our second day & I would say it's one of the must dos in Lapland for sure! Next stop was the area of Yl...

Travel video about destination Suomi in Finland. Suomi: The Land Of A Thousand Lakes. No other European country is as influenced by the interplay of both water and land as Finland. The impressive beauty of its unspoiled scenery is plain to see and yet most of Finland, despite each wonderful aspect of its natural landscape, is still sparsely populated. Its endless forests truly make Finland one of Europe’s last great wildernesses. Only in Finland’s modern capital of Helsinki does the population exceed more than a hundred inhabitants per square kilometre. The city’s cathedral has become one of the most famous landmarks in Helsinki that, along with the general ground plan of the entire city, can be traced back to a Prussian. Carl Ludwig Engel was the man responsible for the building an...

The Sami people are one of the oldest semi-nomadic indigenous groups in the world. Traditionally herding reindeer in the Arctic regions of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia’s Kola Peninsula (the region is known as Sapmi), they learned to work with the rhythms of nature in order to survive the harsh climate. “Nature is everything for us because we think we belong to Mother Earth,” explains Sami writer/artist/teacher Gunnel Heligfjell, “It is not as with Western European thinking that the earth belongs to us, to the human beings. We think that we belong to the earth like the animals and the plants and everything.” Following the reindeer migrations, they built transportable homes called lavvu from wood and fabric (similar to Native American tipis, but less vertical to sustain high winds)....

Then it's just a two-hour boat ride to Tallinn — with its medieval charms and newfound prosperity — celebrating its freedom and thriving in its post-USSR renaissance. © 2010 Rick Steves' Europe
